Our technicians, biologists and caretakers continue to work in turn to ensure the well-being of the 12,000 marine animals and maintenance of the facilities. Why is the Aquarium closed?

Following government announcements on 28 October 2020, the Aquarium La Rochelle, a category Y public access establishment (museum), is obliged to close its doors.

When will the Aquarium reopen?

To date, the Aquarium La Rochelle is not in a position to give a date for reopening.

I have a dated ticket but the Aquarium is closed. What can I do?

We invite you to send us the tickets in question and the proof of purchase by email to contact@aquarium-larochelle.com. New tickets valid for 1 year will be sent to you.

I bought a ticket valid for one year on the Aquarium La Rochelle website and the date is about to expire. What can I do?

The validity date of your tickets has been automatically extended until 31 August 2021 inclusive. You will be asked for your tickets at the Aquarium reception desk on your next visit.

I have a Grand Ami membership. Will you extend the validity of my annual pass?

All subscribers will have the validity of their pass extended by the same amount of time as the Aquarium La Rochelle closes. There is no need to take any particular steps, the process is automatic.

My ticket purchased from a retailer or travel agency will soon expire. What can I do?

The validity date of your tickets has been automatically extended to 31 August 2021 inclusive. You will be asked for your tickets at the Aquarium reception desk on your next visit.

I have made a reservation for a group. What can I do?

For information on a reservation that has already been made, please write to us and indicate your file number on reservation@aquarium-larochelle.com.

I want to make a reservation for a group. How can I do this?

To make a reservation for a later date, you can make your request on reservation@aquarium-larochelle.com by giving us the following information

  • Name and full contact details of the structure
  • Date and time slot considered for the visit
  • Number of adults and/or children from 3 to 17 years old inclusive, specifying the age group for children
  • Type of visit required: self-guided or audio-guided
